Zhao Zhunwang was born in Beijing in 1944. He is now a member of the Chinese Artists Association and a member of Beijing Landscape Painting Research Association. Nurtured by his family from childhood, he earnestly loves painting. In 1980, he studied painting techniques in Jiangsu Provincial Chinese Painting Academy under the supervision of Mr. Yaming and also learned a lot from veteran painter, Cui Zifan.
His landscapes are characterized by crepuscular water and fresh ink. Capturing the rhythm of painting among randomness and echoing the conspicuous parts with emptiness, his paintings are creative with apparent personal style. In recent years, he has held many painting exhibitions and attended art academic activities in China and overseas. He was awarded the Grand Prize in the National Painting Exhibition which was jointly sponsored by Hong Kong and Shenzhen in 1988. Zhao is now living in America and is engaging in arts and teaching.
